Title: SC Grasstrack Round 1 Location: Carrigtwohill Co. Cork Description: Southern Center Grasstrack Championship & Practice
Munster Motorcycle Club will host a round of the Southern Center Grasstrack Championship in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.
The event will be held in Mile Bush, on the Midleton side of Carrigtwohill, opposite to the Amgen site.
Due to the fact that it is a dual carriageway people coming from Cork would be advised to go to Middleton and take the road back to Cork. This would be a safer option than crossing the dual carriageway.
Practice will be held for all grades (incl. Pre \’85 & Twinshock bikes) on Saturday evening, with sign on opening at 17.30 and practice starting at 18.00.
Sign on will open at 09.30 on Sunday, with racing starting at 11.30 sharp.

So Alessi’s crash apparently looked a lot nastier than it was. It’s a shame he got injured because at this point, Stewart has no competition for the title. The MX2 (Lites) is where all the action is at the moment.
I still can’t get over how lucky this guy is but there’s no need for words here, just check out these 2 videos.
I have added the current championship results to the page, you can see it in the top menu. The drop down list is a bit long but you can also use the links on the right once you have clicked the results page.
I only have the youths for the Irish at the moment, hopefully I’ll have the rest soon. Just let me know if you find any issues, but remember the data doesn’t come from myself, I’m only publishing it.
Remember, if you feel the need to discuss the results, the best place for this is the forums!
the next time Tim goes on one of his elbow guard / full body armour rants:
I won’t scare you with pics of my back but it’s actually cut up pretty bad, didn’t realise that part until I took my jersey off and someone pointed out to me that my back was all bruised and cut.
So when am I trying on that body armour of yours Tim?
Mike Alessi crashed just after the start of the last moto at the 5th round of the AMA championship in Red Bud.
According to his website, Mike fractured both scapula’s, his rib, and bruised his lung and will be out of action until he is 100% fit to ride !
Looking at the video of this the guy is clearly lucky to be alive and walking. The footage is the type that makes you go DAMN! so if you’re recovering from an injury or racing this weekend you might want to save it until after the weekend!
The Irish weather shows it’s blatant disregard for our feelings once more as the races that were to be held on the 5th and 6th of July (this weekend) have been cancelled.
Apparently the track and paddock are so wet they would be damaged too much if the races would go ahead.
Well if you’re reading this you’ve probably noticed the new look!
Leave a comment and tell us what you think. We’ve also got some cool new features coming up very soon, if you have any ideas you can leave them in the comments here or come over to the forums and discuss them there!
Well recently more and more photographers are starting to show an interest in our sport and showing up at the various races and practices.
One of these is Aidan Finn also known on our forums as Joe_Elway. Aidan has come to a few races and lets us know prior to coming so we can tell him what number we are so that he can look out for us and try to get some good snaps. Heck he even manages to make an average C like me look mean on some of these!
You can find some of Aidan’s work on his website but note that it only has a couple of examples, he’ll usually walk away from a race day with a few hundred photos!
You can also find some good snaps on the PhotographyIreland website but this is an amateur photography site of which several members have been taking an interest in Motocross recently.
