Stuart Edmonds raising funds

6 12 2008

Well everyone, I’ve just heard that Stuart Edmonds has a shot at racing the world championships next year and he is raising funds to make this possible.

As most of us would know it costs a lot of money for the riders to start off and compete in the full year of races so he needs to race a lot of funds in very little time!

So if you or your company has any chance of sponsoring the Stuey fella, get in touch with him at 0851610568 as soon as possible.

FIM Netherlands GP April 6 2008

14 04 2008

The first GP in the world championships was held last week in the Netherlands with some surprising results (if anything can be considered a surprise in our sport!).

Stefan Everts seems to be headed for big things as Race director with 3 out of the top 5 riders in MX2, 1 in MX1 and 1 in MX3 all on the KTM team! Maybe he’s looking for another 10 world titles?

Click read more to see the top 5 results for each class and watch the video recap!

Carlqvist stops for a beer at Namur – Classic!

6 01 2008

This is a classic clip from the GP in Namur. The story goes that Swedish champion Hakan Carlqvist always said he would like to get a lead big enough to stop at the cafe in Namur.

In 1988 the chance finally came. After coming in first during practice, he was confident enough going into the race that he said to his brother that if Carlqvist would have a 20 second lead or more when 25 minutes had passed of the race, he should have a beer ready for him at the Chalet du Monument. The rest is history:
